Arrival in Cusco
and trip to Pisac

  • Upon your arrival at the Cusco airport, a Travel Experts Peru representative will meet you for the drive to the Sacred Valley.
  • You’ll have a stop in Pisac to explore the ruins and historic Pisac market.
  • Take the evening to enjoy your lodge, the landscape, and amazing regional cuisine.

Sacred Valley and train
to Aguas Calientes

  • You’ll have the morning to relax and explore on your own – take this time to visit the town of Urubamba, Chinchero, or partake in one of our additional excursions.
  • In the afternoon you will take a train to Machu Picchu, the hidden Inca citadel. This hour-and-a-half to two-hour train journey is one of the most scenic in the world, winding through mountain, river valleys, high jungle and mystical cloud forests. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, the town at the base of Machu Picchu, you will be met at the train station and accompanied to your hotel.
  • Your guide will provide details on the meeting time, place, and items to bring for your following day at Machu Picchu.

Explore Machu Picchu

  • Early the following morning, you’ll head over to the bus stop, where you’ll meet your guide and head to the entrance of Machu Picchu.
  • Upon arrival, you’ll head into Machu Picchu with your guide and explore the site’s key landmarks, such as the Intihuatana (Sun Stone), the Sun Temple, and the Room of 3 Windows. Additionally, you’ll be treated to the awe-inspiring mountain range that enigmatically embrace the ruins. In the early afternoon, we recommend you head back to Aguas Calientes to have lunch and pick up any luggage before taking your late-afternoon train back to Cusco.
  • When you arrive in Cusco, you’ll have a driver waiting for you to transport you to your hotel.

Day in Cusco

  • You’ll have the day to yourselves to relax after your late arrival.
  • Take the day to explore the Plaza de Armas, mercado San Pedro, and walk the cobble-stone streets of the city.
  • If you’re up for more activity, we can schedule a city tour where you’ll visit the main cathedral, Sacsayhuaman, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay ruins.
  • Evening to explore the amazing restaurants and nightlife in the city.

Cusco to Lake Titicaca

  • After breakfast, you’ll be picked up and transferred to the bus station for your trip to Lake Titicaca.
  • The touristic bus makes multiple stops along the way to explore local ruins, have lunch, and take-in the breathtaking scenery of one the more beautiful stretches along the Andes mountain range.
  • Upon your arrival, you’ll be met by a TE Peru representative and transferred to your hotel.

Lake Titicaca & Uros Islands

  • After breakfast, you’ll have an early morning pick-up to head out on Lake Titicaca.
  • You’ll begin the trip exploring the floating islands of Uros, which are made of woven reeds.
  • After a beautiful boat ride, you’ll head to the Amantani floating islands where we’ll break in to smaller groups to stay with local families.
  • You’ll have the opportunity to take a local trek to see the local temples of Pachamama and Pachatata while also enjoying the traditional customs of the island’s community.

Lake Titicaca

  • In the morning, after enjoying breakfast with your family, you’ll continue your boat journey on the lake.
  • By the early afternoon, you’ll make it back to shore where you’ll be transferred to your hotel.
  • Take the afternoon to relax and explore the local town.

Lake Titicaca Departure

  • Enjoy breakfast at your hotel prior to being picked up and transferred to Puno’s airport for your flight back to Lima.
  • Safe travels back home!
